Good heavens--from your subject, I thought you were going to be telling us that hogwash was gone for good!

Posted By: Wordwind Re: hogwash®…in memorium - 02/01/03 10:06 PM
tsuwm wouldn't do that to us. We like ketching his craft too much, we co-dependent shipmates.

Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memorium - 02/01/03 11:19 PM
See, WW, your "tsuuuuueeeeeeeee!" call worked!

Posted By: Wordwind Re: hogwash®…in memorium - 02/02/03 12:37 AM
Not so sure it worked very well, Juan. I sure wouldn't have won a blue ribbon at the county fair.

But thanks, tsuwm, for this round. It is a very welcome distraction.

I gotta ask: memorium?

Posted By: tsuwm Re: hogwash®…in memorium - 02/02/03 08:23 PM
this is call a misspell, ASp; caused, no doubt, by a lack of attention to detail in HS Latin class.

BTW, here's the googlemetrics on this gaffe:
in memorium ~ 44,000
in memoriam ~ 440,000

(there's that order of magnitude again)
Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memorium - 02/02/03 08:51 PM
in memoriem ~ 51 on the googlemeter

Karma rules OK!
in memoriom - about 30 on the googlemeter!

That's no excuse. YCLIU.

Now then: Why that subject heading? YC obviousize me if that's what it takes.

PS Thanks for the hint above. We don't need a whole bunch of armadillos again.
Posted By: Wordwind Re: latin - 02/06/03 09:23 AM
What hint? What hint about what?

I liked all those armadillos. Thought they represented one of our highest achievements in proving the collective unconscious.

By the way, I'm finding ketchcraft the most difficult word to come up with a definition for. I keep reverting back to "kvetching," which is way off-track.

Oh, that hint!

Just making sure I hadn't missed somethin' else...

Thx,
WW

I'll be posting the daffinitions later tonight.

<nudge, nudge.. say no more, Ww>

Posted By: Wordwind Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:20 PM
Later tonight? Uh, oh...

I'll send something by 6:30 p.m., EST, ok?, but please don't put my definition at the bottom of the list, if I may make so bold of a request...

Thx,
WW

Just sent you a bit of ketch craft, tsuwm...

Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:32 PM
No WW...that's ketch-kraft.

Posted By: Wordwind Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:34 PM
You and your hyphens, J-u-a-n!

Hey, BTW, bonzai wins the low-Googliocity contest!...FWIW.

Posted By: tsuwm Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:36 PM
guess we'll just have to take to callin' him W-O'N..

Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:39 PM
You and your hyphens, J-u-a-n!

Well, then, do you want to put the word back together as the Hogmaster® so deems?

Posted By: Wordwind Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:42 PM
No, I don't want to put the word back together, W-O'N. I sent tsuwm some ketch craft, which is altogether different from ketchcraft.

Stupid word. Bet we get a bunch of armadillos again.

Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 08:49 PM
So, then, like I said...ketch-kraft.

(that's according to a reverse transition of the Faldagian Theory of Hypenated Gestations...ketchkraft, ketch-kraft, ketch kraft [and vice versa]).

sorry to have to insert the ugly head of obviousization into this little tiff (not skiff!), but what WW obviously meant to say is that ketch craft is altogether different from ketchkraft. H-T-H.

Now hold on there! You just wait a minute!...she went back and changed the "k" in kraft to "c"...I saw that, Dub-Dub! And I pasted your new post over with the second "k" in ketchkraft changed to "c" as well in your over-zealousness to cover your tracks! So with that smoking-gun as evidence, I rest my case. Even if the intended sematic is different, the Faldagian Theory of Hyphenated Gestations still holds. Skiffling along...

Posted By: WhitmanO'Neill Re: hogwash®…in memoriam - 02/08/03 09:30 PM
And furthermore...since I was, evidently, the first one to introduce the "k" spelling, your argument holds up even less! [looking-around-and-hoping-nobody-notices-while-I-slink-out-of-here e]

J-U-A-N:

I ha'e not idea what this is all about. I first wrote:

Just sent you a bit of ketch craft, tsuwm...
...

And I an't changed anythin' and I an't covered any tracks or changed anythin'...or coverd any tracks...and so on...

I jus' meant what I said:

I sent tsuwm a bit o' ketch craft. And that's exactly how I meant it and that's exactly how I'll stand by wot I sent 'im. But I an't sayin' nothin' else or I'll give me daffination away...

You sure you already haven't? one down, and a few more to go...ho hum...

And are you sure it wasn't kvetch-craft? 'Cause look at you, kvetching all over the place!
