From the Ultimate Ungulate Page (Google : elephants+ungulate)
Ungulates : Proboscidea
This order consists of two living species, which are among the best known in the entire world. Elephants are the largest land mammals in the world, with a strange nasal adaptation known as a trunk. An extremely versatile limb, the trunk is an extension of the nose and upper lip fused together. The extraordinary maneuverability of the trunk is due to the many layers of muscles - including modified forehead muscles, cheek muscles, nasal muscles, and lip muscles. Elephants are classified as ungulates, even though it seems as if they walk flat footed. In actual fact they walk on their toes, with the heel cushioned by a wedge-shaped layer of fat-containing connective tissue.

And does it not provide the clue to the answer to that age old question, "How does an elephant hide in a cherry tree?"?

"How does an elephant hide in a cherry tree?"?

I give! How?

May I be the first to accuse the venerable Faldage of non-interrogatory construction?

You blame Faldage? When I asked the question? Perhaps he was too rushed to formulate the answer as a question? Whereas I have no life at all and spend inordinate amounts of time keeping up with the board doncha' know ??????

Would you do the same with wow? Or do your gentlemanly scruples not allow you to treat a woman equally with a wapman?

Did you understand that I referred to her post of Tue Jul 10 12:32:38 2001 and not her post of Wed Jul 11 09:59:02 2001 nor her post of Wed Jul 11 10:15:18 2001?

Would I do the same to wow? Would you believe that I would? But don't you think that, as an English gentleman, I would probably do so politely and gently?

And, as I am an English gentleman, why should you expect me to understand anything ??

Are we back to questionable questions?

Posted By: wow Re: Questions - Game 2, subsection a - 07/12/01 04:58 PM
What's the question again?

Do you now know why I started another thread?

It is obvious to me that your remark in blue shows you have an understanding of this woman.
