Last week, lagging behind on the abecedarian issue, I came across a victorian wordgame on a reread of the 'Annotated Alice through the Looking-Glass'.I guess they must already have done this one in Jane Austen's time.(mind the kindhearted but obnoxious widowed Lady who was nagging on about a love beginning with an E in Sense and Sensibility).

Maybe it has been done here and I don't know if it appeals to you.
But as follows;

I love my love with an (x)...........
I hate him because he/she..........
He/she took me to the Sign of the.........
And treated me with..........
His/her name is......
And he/she lives at...

A good silly game for power break-downs and long boring car trips.

Trying the A:

I love my love with and A because he's Aimiable
I hate him because he is Arrogant as well
He took me to the Sign of the Ax and Sword (sinister inn)
And treated me on Applecrumble
His name is Aidan
And he lives at Albertville

Anyone who cares for the B? The X The Q?

i remember a jump rope song of the same pattern,
A my name is anna and i come from alabama
and i eat apples
B my name is betty i come from baha, and i eat bananas

(and so on) you had to sing in out as you entered "double dutch" (2 jump ropes, one turning clockwise, one counterclockwise, with the first work and jump together, (and the last as you jumped out!)

there were other more elaborate patterns
A my name is anna and i come from alabama,
i eat apples and play upon an anchor

B my name is betty and i come from berlin
i eat bananas and play upon a banjo.
(and more other still more elaborate versions.. but we played the simpler ones.)

Yes!Of Troy! Thanks for bringing up the dubble rope! Totally forgot about that one. That was quite an art! And there were songs too, none of which I remember. And the boys were teasing about this girl-stuff, but when challenged they couldn't do it.

AnnaStrophic Love your F !

Grate thred alltagather.

I'm nearly sure me little pal, MadDogTeddy, is talken about a old flame called Chris Mass what he used ta know a few years back. She was a grate kisser alltagahther and was a size 10 and loved herself and everthin. Anyways, then she photocopied herself and showed it ta everyone and hurted MadDogTed reel bad and he felt persecuted, hence the naled ta the cross mettifour thingy what he uses.

I think that's what he's ramblen on about anyways - if not I'm completly X.
