Alas...I knew him, Horatio.

Not another one of Spock's cousins!

PM on the way

I shall submit within the se'nnight, if not sooner.
Thanks, Alex! I've quit pouting, see? -->

Hogwash comes around so infrenquently that I hate to miss one. Except for that one little misstep (ahem) on your first go-round you are continuing the tradition of mighty fine Hogmasters and I for one appreciate it.

I have received many convincing definitions for this week's word. I plan to post the contenders on Wednesday, 12/21/05. If you plan to submit a defintion (preferably a fake one) please do so before noon (Eastern time) Wednesday.

Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some pork rinds and good fatback,
I don't care if I never get back,
So let's root, root, root for the best one,
If it don't win it's a wash.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old pork nosh...................

Faldo:

Is it your basic nature to be so belittling?

I'm sifting through the archives trying to determine what might constitute a "good" pun in Faldo's opinion; but I'm at a loess.

I've pointed out the occasional good pun that has appeared on these pages. The essential quality is that at least two meanings of the punned term contribute to the meaning of the sentence. Finding how many ways some theme words (e.g., loin, ribbing, sausage) can be squoze into some totally unrelated sentence doesn't work for me.
