I'm looking for the word for a type of book -- a picture book in which the pages are cut horizontally (usually in three sections), but bound at the left side normally, so that the "reader" can mix and match parts, giving cowboy boots to the ballerina, for example.

Hi, Terri, and welcome. I know what you're talking about, but don't know a name for it. I'll check at my bookstore tomorrow; meanwhile I'll bet someone here knows (or will offer a plausible guess! )

Welcome Terri
"flip-(something) book" comes to mind but rather hesitantly.

Yeah, I was thinking flip book, or maybe mix-n-match.

Remember those books you played with when you were a kid where on each page would be an ordinary drawing cut into three sections, but if you turned only one or two of those sections to a different page, you would create a new picture meshing together two or three different scenes?...

Hey, it was *late... and I was having to work without my cordless mouse wanting to talk to the puter! ;)
