Where did the term spoonerism originate? Was there a Mr. or Mrs. Spooner with an interesting speech impediment? Wust Jondering!

There was a Mr. Spooner, back in the 1800's, who talked like this, but I don't know much beyond that.

Spooner sure was a grand old fixture (too bad I didn't get to study under him; I'd never have clissed mass).

Apochrophal maybe, but I like his "our queer old dean (originally "our dear old queen")."

That URL gives the basics but neglects to mention another interesting fact, that Dr Spooner was an albino.

'You have deliberately tasted two worms' (from Max's url)

I heard this one as "You hissed my mystery lecture! You hissed all my mystery lectures! You've tasted the whole worm!"
