recently came across this one:

Petrichor (/ˈpɛtrɨkər/ or /ˈpɛtrɨkɔər/)
is the scent of rain on dry earth.

Anyone know of a word that describes the smell of freshly cut grass?

Hay olly, maybeso the name of the smell of fresly cut grass is "HELP".
Some Germans found that grass when cut shouted a smell that attracted bug-eating bugs to come and eat the bugs that the grass thought was eating them.

And there is this from the Net:

The chemistry in pleasant odours - such as newly cropped grass - is so powerful, their scents can alter gene expression in the brain and reduce aggression, according to a neuroscientist.

Dr Judith Reinhard's team at the Queensland Brain Institute at the University of Queensland is working to uncover the molecular mechanisms behind the phenomenon of aromatherapy, which has long been used to calm the nerves and sharpen the mind, the Telegraph reported.

I think thats the other type of Grass.

Definite memory recall. Like the smell of a hot summers day.

I'd imagine it would be some type of pheromone which triggers the memory.

This has been one of my favorite words of all time and each
time it rains I go outside to revel in the smell and the
word. Thanks for bringing it up.
I work a lot with alcoholics and drug addicts, and many
just got out of prison. When first meeting them and we talk
about their new-found experiences, I always mention the
smell of newly mown grass. Their eyes light up and there
is always an "Oh, yeah, right!".
