There's a word I heard a long time ago that means or refers to the use of improper grammar for the purpose of emphasis, and I have been trying to remember that word for years. Do you know it?

do you mean like using Ain't (i do in spoken conversation all the time.) i know ain't is no longer part of 'proper english' but i use it stylisticly...

but there are other examples --what did you have in mind?
