Dear Faldage: poor oblast. You; not only beheaded it twic;e, you quartered it.
Since you treated "ast" as a word, what is an Astlochgucker?

an Astlochgucker

I dunno, Dr Bill. I ast my old German perfessor, but he din't know.

Ast = branch, Astloch = knothole, Astlochgucker = knothole or keyhole peeper.

So is an astlochgucker one of those trembling elderly people peeking out at the world in a miniaturized kind of atrophied tunnel vision? I knew someone like that. Pitiful. Truly pitiful. Just didn't have a term for her. But astlochgucker is perfect if I understand you correctly.

knowing bill as we do, wouldn't you expect something along the lines of a peeping Tom?!

Would you so revile those innocent youngsters in the knothole club?

From your view of the event, tsuwm, please tell us, was Lady Godiva riding side saddle, or (Heaven forbid) riding astride?

Quod est defecatum . For instance, when I saw WO'N's post about "gasses" no one had replied. By the time my post was up, there were eight ahead ;of me. How could post etiquette be observed in that situation?
