Dear AS: I'm putting the spelling words down here, complying with your suggestion long ago
that I post "below the fold". Only a few are interested in such words, and if I post them
in Q&A I might displace someone's pet post and lose a friend or friends.

You think this place is odd, AnnaS!? You oughtta take a look at the vegetables wwh has on Animal Safari! 
His rationale there was that animals eat plants. Ha!
I suppose what happens down here doesn't matter much since most people don't post here. It took me a couple of weeks, after I'd first joined you all, to realize that the German thread was a hiding place for talk about sports!

and food, and any other serious non word post...
but it started as a joke.. when some one had mis-posted, or started a non word thread, it was suggested "that sort of thing should be posted in the Words from German thread"--only for the longest time, anything you posted there, didn't show up! -it got lost in some sort of cyber never never land.
the thread was broken(it had the wrong settings) so it was an in house way to tell someone this way to the egress as it were!
but then the german thread got 'fixed' -- but it still remains the place for off topic discussions.
