Having become increasingly perturbed by signs that AWADtalk is being used for its intended purpose, I offer this as an antidote to such regrettable rectitude

This is cute, Max. Though Dave Barry has crossed my path only a few times, I have enjoyed every one of them. Geoff may be interested to find out that his newspaper has been in production since 59 B.C.

Oh, Max ... for this ex-newshound it was a flash from the past!
On a semi-related note : there *are stories that repeat. Among the annual stories we had in the '70s and 80s were:

"Police station sinking" -(built on the edge of a salt water marsh, it still is!)

"Beach parking in crisis" (yep! you guessed it!)

"Beach Precinct voters
clash on budget increase" (ditto)

"Selectmen consider Senior Center" (still!)
