My niece Katie coined a phrase some 15 years ago to describe someone's ability with I.T.

She used to say one is (or is not) computerpatible.

To be computerpatible indicated one was up to speed with modern I.T. matters. Its origins of course being her contraction of 'computer compatible'

Does this count as a new word?

Best regards from sunny Northern Ireland

it's really easy to formulate new "words"; it's entirely another horse of a different color to get them into usage.

stay tuned -- this thread will soon become the only extant ghit [google hit] for computerpatible.

Four hours and still waiting.

Edit: Incomputercado gets 25 ghits.

Comes in under 10 hours. Cuil, OTOH, is all over it like a cheap suit folded into a six-pack, including at least one with an actual usage somewhat different than Irish's niece's

cuil's search results may at times be too hot, rather than cool, if this story is to be believed.

Cuil certainly didn't hit the ground running, its etymology is suspect and it still can't find itself. But it seems to be getting better.

>it still can't find itself.

it looks, from your second link, as though it does find itself -- unless I have (once again) totally missed your point.

You'll be banished to the Pointless Forest if you keep this up, Oblio. Looks like it found itself between the time I posted and you followed my link. I did say it was getting better.

Meanwhile cuil has apparently admitted that they were dishing up some very nsfw results and taken steps to fix it.
