wish I had a touch screen.

While it's always ok to add a new flava to your tickers and dekkos, I've noted over a period of years that Google's algorithms contain just a whole lot of glitches that can drive the serious researcher to distraction, and they don't pay much attention to our comments under "Dissatisfied? Help us improve"

In other words they have become too fat and happy. In the long term, Google is susceptible to competition by other engines willing to continually improve their software

I prefer www.alltheweb.com anyway. but their logos aren't as interesting...

Thanks for the outpoint, Woofy. I've got google up on that bar thingy (pardon the technospeak) where you put frequently used sites so I rarely see the start page itself.

Now then, does anyone know why the first G starts with a single dot and the second G doesn't? I'm thinking maybe the lone dot is to indicate the start of a new word.

> single dot

perhaps upper case/lower case? the dot would signify upper?

You'd have to be sighted not to know that the single dot is a sign that the following letter is capitalized.

Actually I found this on

http://libbraille.org/translator.php

and typed in google and then Google. The second one turned up with a dot.

The pattern placement for that indicator is:

oo
oo
ox
oo where x is the palpable dot.

The indicator that the next character is a numeral is

ox
ox
xx
oo

I had to view the page in IE to see the Braille. In FF, All I saw was "Goog7e" with pieces of cake under the writing.
