The correct definition was C: Talk indistinctly; usually in a low voice. Hyla, jimthedog, and squid were right. There's an animal theme happening there. I wonder if their animal instincts enabled them to sniff out the fake definitions? jimthedog gets 2 points, and as non-contributors Hyla and squid get 1 each. paulb and maverick get 3 points each for submitting guesses that were pretty darn close to the exact definition.

Here are the authors of the bluffs and the number of votes each received:

My roommate has been looking over my shoulder in these rounds, and on maffle, he couldn't help himself but look it up after I had voted... well, the dictionary he looked in didn't have maffle, but it had maffic which is some sort of loud, boisterous party... I thought sure tsuwm would be right on the money after that discovery! Etymology, don't fail us now!

Don't know who ate a mology, but I think I just got lucky, since my inspired guess was:
To speak unclearly or indistinctly; a composite of mangle and waffle
