Hey! Today's word is anopsia and it means absence of sight, due to a missing eye or other structural problem! What a coincidence! I mean the Latin etymological connection to louche.

If we use "anopsia" to mean blindness, we should also use "anacousia" to mean deafness. I couldn't find it in Forthright-Phrontistery,; but it did have "anacusic" meaning totally deaf. And we already have had "anosmia" meaning loss of olfactory sense.
