I'd heard of cabalist as meaning one expert in the Jewish mysticism cabbala, but never as a member of a cabal.

The parasitolgy lab where I worked in Manila in WWII had a civilian girl who was teased with nickname "Camote" = sweet potato, because she was pleasingly plump.
