Jackie Jackie Carpal Tunnel Registered: 03/15/00 Posts: 9601 Loc: Louisville, Kentucky	I say F . I was also very surprised that this word has only two syllables; I'd been sure it was STY-uh-lite. Like style is sty-uhl. Now don't you-all tell me there's anybody out there who can pronounce style in one syllable only!

Faldage Faldage Carpal Tunnel Registered: 12/01/00 Posts: 11424	I'd count style as one and a half syllables. Tack the -ite on the end and the L has something to grab a hold of so it's only two syllables.

Edit: Like twilight. Yeah, I can say that in two syllables, but not stylite, probably because there's no such word as twile. Style and stile both have two syllables!
